The avionics team is responsible for the development of all of Sun Devil Rocketry electronics and software systems. The team is currently working on four separate projects, including a liquid propulsion avionics system, a hybrid propulsion avionics system, a solid propellant data acquisition system, and a custom high-powered rocketry flight computer. The team promotes the development of electrical and software engineering skill sets such as PCB design, analog and digital electronics, software engineering, embedded systems, and systems engineering. The team is also working on the mechanism and control scheme of an actuated canard system for the purpose of active stabilization and control of high-powered rockets.
